WHO WE ARE
Building on its roots within Deviant, Counter Culture is the nonprofit arm, which now seeks to create safe and supportive spaces for Black and Brown Queer community that foster sobriety and meaningful connection. Our activations will continue the Deviant legacy of being culturally competent, fun, interactive and inventive.
OUR VALUES
HEALTH
Our activities work to destigmatize the healthful demands of Black Queer people, including sexual health resources, drug-user health, and more practical physical fitness.
WELLNESS
Our activities present alternatives to nightlife, substance-use and sex as intimacy for Black Queer people. We are grounded in the mental and emotional wellbeing of our beloved community.
COMMUNITY
Understanding the need for connection, intimacy, friendship and family, all of our activations are about bringing Black Queerpeople together in meaningful ways.
OUR VISION
A national membership platform of physical and digital spaces that connects a vibrant, diverse group of members from across the world. These members use the Counter Culture platform to both work and socialize, to connect, create, have fun, unwind and drive positive change.
The empowered community of Black and Brown LGBTQ people that live in Atlanta, represent a well connected group of members who can afford the exclusive spaces for life-work balance that we envision creating at our members-only clubs.
